Completion of demolition of the
rear building
We thank God that despite some delays caused by
inclement weather, the demolition work of the rear building of the
Beulah premises has been completed. These pictures, taken on
Friday 22 December show the cleared area that was once occupied by
the 2-storey rear building, and the cutting of steel bars jutting
out of the conserved building. These bars supported the linkway
that joined the conserved building to the rear building.
The cleared area behind the conserved building
will now serve as additional parking space until construction work
begins.

Demolition of the rear building of
the Beulah premises
We thank God that the demolition work on the rear
building of the Beulah premises commenced on Tuesday, 12th December
and is scheduled to be completed by 25th December 2006. These
pictures, taken on Wednesday, 13th December, below show various
stages where the 2-storey building was reduced to rubble.
This work will make way for the construction of a
new 5-storey block. The front building is earmarked by the
authorities for conservation. The layout design for both buildings
has been finalized, and the consultants are now preparing the plans
for submission to the relevant authorities.
