Are You Serving?

by Eld Ng Beng Kiong

Text: Matthew 25:14-30

Questions for Discussion:

    1. The master gave the 3 servants different amount of talents according to their “several ability” (v15). How should you respond to the fact that God has given you more or less opportunities and gifts than other believers?
    2. What lessons can you learn from the two commendations given by the Lord? The 3rd servant claimed to know his master (v24). Is this true in the light of his explanation given for burying his talent?
    3. Jesus says in v29, "For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath." Does this mean that the reward for faithfulness is more work & responsibility? How will this motivate you to be more active in serving?

    3. What did the Pharisee’s prayer consist of? What does that tell us about him? (Luke 18:11, 12)

    Are You Forgiving?

    by Mark Chen

    Text: Matthew 18:21-35

    Questions for Discussion:

    1. Who are the people you find it most difficult to forgive? Why?

    2. In most feuds and quarrels, both parties are to blame and both must seek forgiveness from each other.  Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not?

    3. When people live in unforgiveness, they become bitter. Yet many continue to serve and come to church.  What do you think happens to their service to God if they continue to be bitter?  What do you think will happen to the church with bitter people serving in the ministries?

    4. Do you know of people who need to be reconciled?  Are you responsible to help them?
