Mondays: Biblical Defence for a
Reasonable Faith
by Rev Dr Jack Sin, M.Div, D.Min
(Pastor of Maranatha Bible-Presbyterian Church)
Monday, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
CHRISTIAN Apologetics is the branch of biblical
studies in Christianity that is committed to the
intelligent propagation and the reasonable defence and establishment of the Christian faith. Christian Apologetics is for every committed believer who loves the Lord and who wants to know what and why we believe and be equipped to persuade others too. The apostle Peter says “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15).
In the 21st century, we are to be knowledge-based Christians who should be equipped to give a reasonable response concerning our faith. There is a biblical basis for the belief in the deity and humanity of Christ, His work and His resurrection, the existence of God, creationism, the authenticity of the Bible, the Trinity, and other important concerns of the Christian faith. We need to be able to give biblically sound and relevant explanations of the Christian religion to those who would seek to understand the teachings of our Lord Jesus. (2 CREDITS)
