Dear Parents,

Learning that engages children demands an experience that accommodates all children.  Therefore, this experience must be visual, audio and kinesthetic in nature.  It is important for children to construct their learning via real life experiences.  To enable children to internalise these concepts learned, it is crucial that they make connections with their existing knowledge.  In FEK, our patient and passionate teachers will scaffold children’s learning by reflecting with them.  The children can then learn how to learn.    

Children are often likened to clumps of clay.  They are easily moulded because of their potential to learn. When clay is dried or fired, it hardens.  The character of a child is so easily influenced by his significant others. Once the character traits are developed, it is hard to erase them.  We want to shape our children’s lives to grow in grace before they are hardened by the temptations of this world.   In FEK, we celebrate virtues displayed by our children.  We award certificates to children who display respectfulness, punctuality, orderliness and other virtues. 

We would like our children to be both compassionate and competent.
