Missions Report:
Missions Report from Sis June Tan-Korir (Mar 2007)

Dear all

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and from Samson and I in Mulot, Kenya. Trust that all of you are doing well in the Lord and so are we. Below is our Thanksgiving and Prayer Items.

Thanksgiving:

1.       For equipping us in the teachings in the church, both hymns and Sunday School Lesson. The teaching of hymns has been challenging yet rewarding. It’s encouraging to see the members try their heart level best to keep up to the hymn composer’s notes. In the Kalenjin culture, there is a certain beat that is so familiar to them that even the children sway with it. So the beats in the original composition is really quite a challenge to them.

2.     Thank God that the church attendance has also been quite steady for the month of February. (Photo of members and church attached)

3.     Praise God for helping Samson handle the motorbike (his first time) as he travels around the Trans-mara area to teach theology. This certificate and diploma course in TEE (Theological Education by Extension) is offered to lay Pastors and church workers. It is like a ‘Mobile Bible College’.

4.     For helping us plant the maize. The rains stopped for a while and after planting, it rained which helped the seeds to germinate well. Also am so thankful for having a good supply of Singaporean local vegetables since early last month. (photos of my garden attached)

Prayer Items

1.       That God will continue to enable us and the members to learn and be edified together as we study God’s Word and learn the hymns.

2.     May the Lord continue to bring His people into His Kingdom as the gospel is preached and the members continue to attend the church.

3.     We praise God for adding 2 more students 4 of the 6 centres where Samson teaches TEE. May the Lord’s name be glorified and His Kingdom extended as the programme was designed and targeted to strengthen Gospel outreach as well pulpit ministry and church work.

4.     May the labour of our hands in the farm be blessed in due season.

Thank you for praying with/for us.

In Christ,

June Tan-Korir
