Missions Report:
Thanksgiving and prayer request from Rev Andrew Kam in Myanmar (May 2007)

The following thanksgiving and prayer request is from Rev Andrew Kam, our missionary in Myanmar, who runs an orphanage in Yangon and pastors a church there.

"Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I send this mail to let you know the condition of here. Last week on Sunday I baptised 5 persons and some others could not come to the Church because of the flood.

Last Wednesday the rain and terrible strong wind suddenly came down to Yangon for two days and the water instantly coming up and everywhere was flooded. The water came up into our home and all the things downstairs had to be moved upstairs. While the water was coming up into the house the children killed many snakes. The water stagnated for four days inside the house and now the water inside the house is going down and is still stagnated outside.

We thank God the water did not coming up to the children' bed which we made with the wood last year. Indeed it is much helpful in this time. The water almost reach up to the bed just about one inch to get over to the bed, if it would, so would be much troublesome for us. Please do pray for us.

Yours in His Service
Rev. Andrew Kam
