Do you face a language barrier when trying to witness for Christ to dialect-speaking relatives? Or do you need to polish up your Mandarin in order to share the Gospel with your Mandarin-speaking friends? This Gospel toolkit will help you to learn how to share the Gospel in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew

Each of the 15 links below contains a series of 15 lessons covering the various topics in gospel presentation. Each lesson consists of a set of phrases, written in English, Chinese characters and Hanyu Pinyin (for Mandarin only).

To hear the proper pronunciation of the phrase, click on the language/dialect link under each phrase. When the phrase is read for you, you should repeat it aloud. You can keep on playing back the phrase and repeating it aloud until you have mastered the phrase. Then go on to the next phrase in the lesson.

As you learn to speak new phrases, keep on reviewing the ones that you have learnt. Finally, test yourself to see if you can say the following in dialect or Mandarin aloud:

1. Dear Grandfather, Grandmother, Uncle, Auntie, Friend - I have Good News to tell you. What is this Good News? This Good News is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. What is the Gospel? The Gospel is the Good News that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to save sinners.

2. Who is God? God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth and all things that are in them.

3. Who is the Lord Jesus Christ? Jesus is the Son of God.

4. God so loved the world that He gave His Son. God gave His only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ for the world.

5. Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem, nearly 2000 years ago. He had no earthly father. His foster father was Joseph. He was conceived in the womb of Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit.

6. He went about doing good. Jesus performed many miracles upon those who were sick or in need. He made the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk, and the dead to arise. His miraculous power demonstrated that Jesus was the Son of God. At the age of 33, the Lord Jesus was put to death on the Cross. Jesus lived a sinless life.

7. Why did Jesus die on the Cross? Did He do anything wrong?  Jesus did no wrong yet He was put to death on the Cross. How can this be? The Bible tells us that the Jews were angry with Jesus and envious of Him because He claimed to be the Son of God. But Jesus actually died on the Cross for the sin of the world. Jesus died on the Cross and shed His precious blood.

8. Three days later, Jesus resurrected. He rose again from the dead. Jesus was seen by His disciples after His Resurrection. After 40 days He rose into Heaven. Jesus is now in Heaven. Jesus is now in Heaven praying for you and me.

9. One day, Jesus is coming again. He will be returning to Earth. He will be coming as King. He will rule the Earth for 1,000 years. After that, Jesus will judge the people of the Earth. He will judge the wicked dead.

10. Why do we need to be saved? The Bible says the wages of sin is death. We have sinned against God. All who break God's laws are sinners. All sinners will die one day, and come before God for judgement. No one will be exempted.

11. God will judge our works, our words, our thoughts and our motives. We will receive judgement for what we have done in our body. Those who died without believing in Jesus, will go to Hell. Hell is a place of fire and suffering. Those who do not believe in God or Jesus, will be sent to the Lake of Fire.

12. I am a sinner. You are sinner. We all are sinners. God loves you and me. We are part of God's creation. God does not want you or me to go to Hell. That is why He sent His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for our sins.

13. If we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, He will use His precious blood to cleanse our hearts from sin. We need to ask Him to come into our lives to be our Saviour. When He comes into our lives, He will not only cleanse our hearts, but He will also stay inside us and give us victory over sin.

14. Will you receive Jesus into your life as your Saviour? You need to admit that you are a sinner. You need to confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. You need to repent of your sins and promise God by His grace, that you will give up your sinful ways.

15. Tell God that you believe in Jesus, That you believe Jesus is God's Son, That He came from Heaven, That He was born of the Virgin Mary, That He died on the Cross and that He rose again from the dead, That He is now in Heaven praying for us, and That He will return one day. Will you ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your life and be your Saviour today, right now? Let us pray.
