Text: 1 Peter 3:1-8

Introduction
Marriage today is under great pressure, because 
Many couples are not asking, “How can I glorify God in my marriage?” but rather, “How can I be happy? How can I be fulfilled?”
And when expectations are not met, relationships begin to crack.
In 1 Peter 3:1–8, the Apostle Peter gives us a beautiful and practical picture of what it means to be a godly wife and a godly husband.
The Word of God teaches about the purpose and higher calling of marriage:

  • Marriage is not just about happiness—it is a testimony of godliness.
  • It is not merely about two people—it is about reflecting Christ.
  • It is to glorify God.

The precise understanding and practising of the roles of godly wife and godly husband is crucial to living out the God-intended purposes of marriage.

1    The role of godly wife (vv.1-6)

1.3    Hope in God (vv.5-6)

2    The role of godly husband (vv.7-8)
2.1    Living with understanding (v.7)
