I. Add to Godliness, Brotherly Kindness (Philadelphia)
  1. True godliness is relational (1Jn. 4:20)
  2. The Church is a family (Eph. 4:5,6)
  3. The sincerity and fervency (1 Pet. 1:22; Acts 2:44,45; 4:34,35)
 
II. Add to Brotherly Kindness, Love (Agape)
  1. The distinction between Philadelphia and Agape
  2. The nature of Agape
  3. The showing of Agape  to a hostile world
    • Love without expecting anything in return (Lk. 23:34, Rom. 5:8)
    • Love your enemies (Matt. 5:43-48)
    • Love according to 1 Cor. 13:4-7
 
Questions
  1. How can we move beyond polite "Sunday smiles" into deeper, more genuine relationships with one another? What is one practical step you can take this week to show brotherly kindness (Philadelphia) to a church member/s? 
  2. In what ways can you show love (Agape) to a hostile world as a Christian? What would be your motivation?
