Christ Is Risen from the Dead!

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-10; 53-58
- Christ’s resurrection has accomplished far more for us than any other event in history.
- What if Christ had not risen from the dead? (vv.14-19)
- “But now is Christ risen from the dead…” (v.20)
1. How do we know that Christ is risen?
- By the multitude of witnesses of His resurrection. (vv.3-7)
- By the changed lives of these witnesses. (vv.8-10; 30-32)
2. How should this impact our faith and service now? (v.58)
- It ensures that our faith and service are not in vain. (cf. Ecclesiastes 1:2; 2:11) E.g.
- The efforts we make to bring people to Christ are not in vain. (Psalm 126:6)
- The time we spend in studying the Scriptures is not in vain. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- It encourages us to remain steadfast and unmovable in our faith and service.
- It enables us to abound in the work of the Lord always.
Questions for Reflection:
- Have you experienced Christ’s transforming power in your life?
- Can you exult in the victory that Christ has won over death? (v.55,57)
- How are you serving the Lord now?
- How can you be more active in His work?
