Advancing God’s kingdom, one soul at a time
Enable Lifers to Evangelise, Engage and be Equipped to fulfil the Great Commission
About E-DD
The Evangelism-Discipleship Department (E-DD) is Life Bible-Presbyterian Church’s dedicated ministry focused on both outreach and spiritual growth. Formerly known as the Evangelistic Band, E-DD has a legacy of equipping members to share the gospel and disciple new believers. Guided by Matthew 28:19-20, the department seeks to empower every church member to become active “fishers of men”—evangelising, engaging, and equipping as part of daily life.
Objectives & Vision
- Objective: Enable Lifers to evangelise, engage, and be equipped for the Great Commission
- Tagline: Advancing God’s kingdom, one soul at a time
The department’s outreach follows the model: Evangelise → Engage → Equip, ensuring continuity from outreach to lasting discipleship.

Evangelism
Our evangelistic efforts include:
- Door-to-Door Evangelism: Fortnightly outreach to local housing estates, engaging residents where they are most comfortable.
- Street Evangelism: Annual tracts distribution and conversations at busy streets, especially during major Christian festivals.
- Exploring Christianity (EC): Structured courses for curious seekers held twice yearly.
- Personal Witnessing: Providing resources and support for members to share the gospel personally, including “10 things you can do for Christ this year” cards and accessible tracts.
Engagement
Caring for seekers and new believers:
- Welcoming: Active follow-up of newcomers through visitor cards and personal engagement.
- Gospel Sunday: Special evangelistic messages on months with a 5th Sunday, with trained counsellors available for discussions.
- Discipling / Follow-up: Via Mailbox Bible Correspondence Course (MBCC), EC follow-up classes (adults/youths), and catechism classes leading to baptism and church membership.
Equipping
Empowering members through training and resources:
- Workshops & Training: Scenario-based workshops, seminars, Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship (GSED), and sessions dedicated to youth.
- Gospel Tracts & Publications: Sourcing, editing, and printing tracts, including multilingual versions and tract writing competitions.
- Resources: Glossaries for Christian terms in Mandarin and other languages, apologetics lessons, Bible studies, and practical guides.
- Evangelism & Discipleship Conference: Biennial conferences encouraging an outreach mindset and facilitating further equipping.
Outreach Strategies
The E-DD adopts creative and context-sensitive approaches for evangelism, tailoring outreach to different groups and cultures through art, music, sports, meals, and community service. Efforts are extended through fellowship groups, neighbourhood Bible communities, and distribution of clear, concise materials in multiple languages.
Join Us
We invite every member to participate in the outreach and discipleship journey. Whether through evangelistic activities, welcoming newcomers, discipleship groups, or developing new materials, every role advances the mission to share the gospel and disciple believers, fulfilling our Lord’s command.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19-20
