A Covenant of Grace: Leading the Way in 2026
As we cross the threshold into the year 2026, we do so not by our own merit, but through a total surrender to the sovereignty of God. To rely on His grace is to acknowledge that our past, present, and future are held secure in His hands. As we navigate this new season, let our hearts be anchored in the promise of 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV):
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Reflections on Our Thanksgiving Feast
Our year began with a beautiful display of unity and gratitude. We were blessed to host 150 seniors for our Chinese New Year Thanksgiving Lunch at Kiseki Japanese Buffet in Orchard Central. This gathering served as a poignant reminder of the strength of our community and the joy found in Christian fellowship.

Celebrating 26 Years of Faithfulness
A significant milestone awaits us this year. In March 2026, the Senior Fellowship will celebrate our 26th Anniversary. For over two decades, the Lord has been our dwelling place, and we look forward to commemorating this year with grateful hearts, reflecting on the many lives touched and the enduring legacy of faith within our church.

A Vibrant Calendar for Spirit and Body
To ensure our fellowship remains a source of holistic growth, we encourage all members to participate actively in our 2026 programs:

  • SF Bible Study: In April 2026, we conclude our study of the Gospel of John. From May to November 2026, Sister Lilian Lee will lead a series on Bible Geography, providing historical and physical context to the Word.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." — 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
  • Wednesday Meetings & Exercises: Join us on alternate Wednesday for spiritual devotion followed by physical exercises. We believe in honoring God with both our spirits and our bodies.
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things...” — 1 Timothy 4:8 (KJV)
  • Quarterly Saturday Meetings: Held at the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH), these sessions integrate community building with group exercises to keep us invigorated.
  • 2026 Seminar Series: We have curated two Physical Seminars and two Medical Seminars. The objective of these sessions is to equip us with the knowledge necessary to prevent illness and build up our bodies to be physically and mentally strong. By maintaining our health, we ensure that we can continue to serve God with vigor and excellence.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” — 3 John 1:2 (KJV)

Our Compassionate Outreach Ministries
Our fellowship extends beyond our own walls through dedicated service to one another:

  • The Visitation Ministry: We are committed to visiting our seniors in their homes to better understand their needs and provide personal companionship. This allows us to build deeper bonds of love and ensure no one walks alone.
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction...” — James 1:27 (KJV)
  • The Vigil Visit Service: In times of bereavement, our team provides a ministry of presence. We visit funeral wakes to bring the light of Christ to grieving families, offering prayers and words of encouragement to bring comfort in their darkest hours.
“Blessed be God... the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble...” — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)

Bridging the Generations
A new and meaningful addition to our calendar is our Annual Intergenerational Meeting. Once a year, the Senior Fellowship will gather with the Lively-Teens Fellowship and Youth Fellowship, and separately with Young Adult Fellowship. These meetings foster a beautiful exchange of wisdom and energy, allowing the younger generation to learn from our life experiences while we are encouraged by their zeal for the Lord. This unity strengthens the entire body of Christ, ensuring that faith is passed down as a living flame.
As the Psalmist writes in Psalm 145:4 (KJV):
"One generation shall praise thy works to another and shall declare thy mighty acts."
Furthermore, we are reminded in Psalm 71:18 (KJV):
"Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come."

A Call for Leadership and Renewal
As our fellowship grows, so does the harvest of opportunities to serve the diverse needs of our seniors. We recognize the urgent need for leadership addition and renewal to sustain and expand these meaningful activities. We make a heartfelt appeal, especially to our younger seniors, to step forward and offer your talents to the Lord’s service. Your energy and fresh perspectives are vital to ensuring the SF remains a beacon of support for generations to come.
As the Scripture exhorts us in Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV):
"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
Let us respond with a willing heart, saying, "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." — Isaiah 6:8 (KJV)

Concluding Thoughts: A Vision for Our Seniors
It is the fervent prayer of the SF leadership that our seniors remain active physically and spiritually mature in the Lord. Our goal is for every member to lead a healthy, meaningful, and purposeful life, bearing fruit even in the golden years.
We find our inspiration in Psalm 92:13-14 (KJV):
"Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing."
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for making the Senior Fellowship so relevant and vibrant. Above all, we give glory to the Almighty Loving God for His unceasing protection and guidance over every senior in our midst.
"The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." — Psalm 121:8 (KJV)

Offering for Missions

We thank God that Lifers are very generous in their offerings towards missions. In terms of support, the church gives priority to our fully-supported missionaries and we would like you to be aligned with the church’s position when giving towards missions. Rather than giving offerings that are designated to specific individuals or mission stations, you are encouraged to give to the Missions Fund and let the Missions Committee disburse them as it sees fit. Your understanding on this will facilitate an informed stewardship of resources for the Lord’s work in missions. If you wish to contribute financially to missionaries, please indicate "DO Missions" in the reference field in your e-Offering via the Life Church PayNow QR Code. May the Lord bless your cheerful giving.
